Statistically, about 25.4% of people in the United States own a cat according to The Zebra, a statistics borough. Cat treats are becoming more and more popular in pet stores across the country. Places that only had a few options are expanding to include more brands, flavors, and options for cat owners to choose from. 

In this climate, it is important that healthy, sustainable options are presented for these cat owners. Since most cat owners are females between ages 55-64, opening the demographic to people who are more statistically concerned with the environment brings our target audience down to women 30-40 years of age. 

In order to make this design pop in a market whose cat treat competitors is expanding, the design of the box must be unique and engaging. When the brand debut in the stores, the POP display will hold a few boxes as well as have a tub of cat treats so the consumers can take full advantage of the fact that their containers are refillable! The experience should be unique and fun compared to other cat treat brand experiences. Don’t let the dog treat designers have all the fun!
